"Seedless" Original oil painting by Heather Hingst Bennett
“Seedless”, 6″(h)x8″(w), oil on carton panel, ©2012 Heather Hingst Bennett

Watermelon always reminds me of summer. Especially when I was about 6 or 7 hanging out in my best friend Tonya’s basement eating watermelon after spending the day at the swimming pool. We always thought that if you ate a seed, you were going to grow a watermelon in your stomach.
