I’ll be ready to start quilting tomorrow. I have 9 tops ready. I have really been enjoying seeing what color stories I come up with.
I start each quilt by pulling some major colors I want to work with and then start working on the design. I have been working through a huge pile of scraps from my hand dyed fabrics and I think I’ve reduced my scraps to half. (Since I’m in a real spring cleaning mode this makes me very happy.)
I’m excited to start quilting tomorrow. This always adds another dimension, line and texture.
I have also decided to TRY to record my studio time. I’ve tried this before, but got interrupted so much it just seemed like a waste of time. Now that my “studio” is in our bedroom I don’t seem to get stopped quite as much. Which is a nice feeling. I think having some sort of record of time spent on a project will be an asset to me when I’m pricing my art and when I need to know if I can get something done in time for a show.
