Under the Weather

I’ve caught a summer cold. My throat is scratchy, my nose is runny and my head feels heavy. I just want to sleep.

Doubts are creeping into my mind. Especially since I quit my job and I’ve been bumbling from one project to the next. Although, for the past 2 weeks I have been really focused on fiber arts. I had originally planned to paint in July, but something came over me and I wanted to work with fabric again. I’ll sneak a few more paintings in before the month is over.

I’ve also been wanting to do some encaustic work since I took a workshop this spring. I have the supplies ready to go, but keep thinking…no, don’t do it. You’ll like it and then you’ll have to decide if you want to paint, sew or work with beeswax. Why does it have to be so difficult!

ANYWAY…the above photo was taken by my daughter in the car on the way to see Mount Rushmore earlier this month. It just makes me smile! 🙂
